LOUISVILLE, Kentucky -- The Golden Eagles were short handed when they tried to play David to Louisville’s Goliath.
Oral Roberts came into battle with only seven players and they ended up playing ants to Louisville’s magnifying glass. They led early on, 8-6 after four minutes, but quickly surrendered that lead quickly and never led again, losing 94-57.
ORU never truly got it going. They shot 38.9 percent from the field and had 21 turnovers in the one-sided game. Dominique Morrison led the Golden Eagles with 17 points, but had a game-leading seven turnovers on the night.
The Cardinals got strong performances from their entire team, but Samrado Samuels and Edgar Sosa paced the Big East power. Samuels scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Sosa scored 18 and dished out 5 assists.
Oral Roberts takes a week off before hitting the hardwood again at Dec. 23 against New Mexico at home.
