OU Announces Tickets for Troops Program for Sun Bowl

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- The University of Oklahoma announced Monday a Tickets for Troops program that allows fans to purchase tickets for the Sun Bowl and donate them to men and women serving in the United States Armed Forces.

The Tickets for Troops can be added to an existing order or given at the time a new order.

Fans not going to the game, but would still like to participate are encouraged by the program to do so.

Members of the OU staff will give the tickets to military personnel, and the tickets will most likely go to troops serving at Fort Bliss, an Army base near El Paso.

The tickets are $40.00 and orders will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

To donate or buy personal tickets, fans can go to SoonerSports.com or call 800-456-GoOU.

The Sun Bowl takes will be played Thursday, Dec. 31 at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas.
