NORMAN, Oklahoma -- The Paris sisters may be gone, but the Oklahoma Women’s Basketball team is striving for better in their 2009-2010 campaign. Topping last year’s mark may be tough to do. Oklahoma tied a school record with 32 victories last season.
Thoughts of another Final Four appearance are being discussed this preseason. Oklahoma’s Danielle Robinson said anything less than a Final Four appearance would be a disappointment in her mind, and her teammates agree.
“We made it there last year and we have most everyone back, so everyone knows what it takes to get back to that moment and we’re just hungry to get to the next level,” said Oklahoma forward Amanda Thompson.
The Sooners are not shy when it comes to scheduling. An away game is slated for January at Tennessee along with a home game against the Connecticut Huskies in February.
Oklahoma opens up exhibition play Wednesday, November 4 against Rogers State at Lloyd Noble Arena.
