WACO, Texas -- Zac Robinson had a record-setting day as the Oklahoma State Cowboys cruised past the Baylor Bears 34-7. Robinson's 85% completion percentage was the best ever for a Cowboy quarterback with at least 20 attempts. The previous record was held by head coach Mike Gundy (77%).
"I felt good. It seem liked everything we were calling was open," Robinson said. "It was a good day. The offensive line played great (and) really protected well. It was a lot of fun."
"I thought he threw the ball very well," offensive coordinator Gunter Brewer said. "He spread the ball around. He's using more and more guys, and he's learning to be the guy that we think he is. He can run it, he can throw it, he's our Peyton Manning."
Robinson, who finished with two 250 yards passing, also had a season-high three touchdown passes. Two of those scores went to tight ends Wilson Youman and Cooper Bassett.
"We thought we were going to be able to get it to our tight ends a little bit today. And sure enough, each of them had a touchdown," Robinson said. "So it was good to get them going and get them involved.
