NORMAN, Oklahoma – Sooner fans packed Memorial Stadium Saturday to watch as their Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback, Sam Bradford, took to the field for the first time since injuring himself.

Bradford has spent the last three games watching from the sidelines while his sprained shoulder healed.
Meanwhile, red-shirt freshman Landry Jones filled in for Bradford. Jones set a school record six touchdowns in one game and helped the Sooners rebound from a disappointing 14-13 loss against Brigham Young University.
Although Jones certainly upheld his responsibilities as quarterback, many fans were anxious to see Bradford return to the position.
“We missed him. Landry Jones is good, but you can’t replace Sam Bradford,” one fan said. “We need him out there, you know. He’s clutch, he makes great throws.”
The Sooners face the University of Texas next Saturday in the Red River Rivalry in Dallas.
