TULSA, Oklahoma – A Sand Springs man was arrested Thursday in connection with a deadly shooting at a Tulsa park earlier this month.
Tulsa Police arrested James Darton, 24, for the murder of Kimberly Ragland. She was found shot to death inside a car at Heller Park on May 9, 2011.
According to the arrest report, Darton and Ragland got into an argument shortly before the murder. Witnesses told officers the argument was "heated" and "physical," the report said.
According to the report, witnesses said the argument was a result of a previous domestic dispute between the couple that resulted in a protective order being issued against Darton.
Darton was booked into the Tulsa County jail on one complaint of first degree murder
