TULSA, Oklahoma – Tulsa Police say a body found late Thursday is that of a female transient with a history of drug abuse.
A person walking in the parking lot of a restaurant spotted the body and called police. They discovered a small homeless camp, approximately 15' square, just off the drive thru lane of a Walgreens. The view was obscured by a transformer and small fence on one side, and bushes on the other.
Police have identified the body of the woman, in her 40's, but have not released her name. Officers who work the area say she had a history of huffing.
The body was partially clothed. Detectives told the News on 6 there was no obvious sign of injury to the body, but an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
