TULSA, Oklahoma -- Webster High School senior Zebulon Peterson has been named a recipient of the Gates Millennium Scholarship.
The scholarship, valued at up to $250,000, is provided by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and awards students with full tuition, room, board and even books from freshmen year to doctorate level.
"When I found out I was ecstatic," Zebulon Peterson said. "It means that I don't have to worry about anything for at least the first four years".
Peterson plans to attend Oklahoma State University in the fall and major in Philosophy and Physiology, with the long-term goal of becoming a lawyer.
He earned a 3.6 GPA throughout his high school career. Peterson is also a member of the National Honor Society.
