OWASSO, Oklahoma -- The Easter Bunny came early to kids in Owasso as more than 50,000 plastic eggs were dropped from a helicopter Saturday.
This is the third year of the event put on by Life Point Baptist Church.
Hundreds of kids lined a circle while the helicopter swooped in and dropped the eggs filled with candy and toys. Some of the eggs even had coupons to area restaurants.
"We know that there are a lots of families who are looking for a place to go for an Easter egg hunt, so we wanted to make it the best Easter egg hunt that it could be," said Life Point Pastor Doug Craig.
The Egg Drop was a free event for area children who were also treated to a magic show and food.
