Employee Shot While Trying To Stop Tulsa Convenience Store Robbery

Tulsa police say an employee of the Dash Inn at 1600 E. Apache Street was wounded as he intervened in an armed robbery late Friday night.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- An attempted robbery left one man injured with a gunshot wound late Friday night. The shooting took place at the Dash Inn convenience store near Apache and Peoria at about 11 p.m.

People say two black men in their mid-20s entered the store and tried to rob the clerk. Another employee intervened, getting into a fight with one of the suspects.

The employee was shot in the leg and head and was taken to the hospital in serious condition. 

Police say the suspects left in a small, dark car. They are described as black males in their mid-20s with thin builds. They were from 5'10" to 6' tall and wore bandanas over their faces.
