MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -- Dozens of Green Country men are learning what it's like to walk a mile in women's shoes.
From fuzzy purple flip-flops to hot pink stilettos, Muskogee men put on some good looking shoes to walk through downtown.
The event was the second annual "Kick up your Heels" walk. It raises awareness and much-needed funding for "Women in Safe Home," or WISH.
The shelter says it has already helped more than 400 women and children this year.
"You know you have a right to be safe. You don't have a right to be abused," Muskogee Mayor John Tyler Hammons said. "If you need help call WISH, call the police, call somebody. But, we're not stand by and let this happen in our community."
WISH says the Masons have agreed to match the money raised Thursday.
