TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa's Chamber of Commerce is trying to bring more jobs to town.
City leaders announced details of a special campaign Monday designed to bring in more business, boost jobs and make the Tulsa area a better place to live.
It's called Tulsa's Future and the chamber says the campaign is already responsible for bringing in nearly 16,000 jobs over the past five years. It's accounted for 121 announced expansions and 19 new businesses being recruited to the region.
Now the chamber is setting a goal for the next five years.
"First, assisting in the creation of 10,000 new direct jobs with an average salary of $50,000 or greater," Jake Henry, said.
The chamber also set a goal for the area to raise more than a billion dollars new capital.
