STROUD, Oklahoma -- Some high-flying jobs are coming to Oklahoma.
Mint Turbines in Stroud is expanding, adding 34 jobs over the next three years.
Mint overhauls and repairs airplane engines. Business Development director and longtime Stroud resident Danny Hickman says in many ways, it represents a rebirth.
"I worked for the city of Stroud on May 3, 1999 when the tornado hit. And in roughly 20 minutes we lose 200 jobs, we lose our hospital, and the city lost over $1 million annually," Danny Hickman, Mint Turbines Business Development Director, said. "To see this positive a step come back to the city of Stroud and the surrounding community is huge."
Mint has military and private clients from across the country, and even overseas.
