Okemah Girl Killed By SUV In Driveway

OKEMAH, Oklahoma -- An accident in an Okemah driveway Wednesday morning has taken the life of a four-year-old girl.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Sidney Edminsten was standing behind a 2004 Pontiac Aztek, when the vehicle backed over her.

Troopers identified the driver as Deana Edminsten, 27.  Another girl, 9-year-old Kelsey Edminsten, who was inside the SUV, was not hurt.

The accident occurred at a home a few miles southeast of Okemah at about 7:25 a.m.

The girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
