Tulsa Man Dubbed 'World's Greatest Blood Donor' Dies

TULSA, Oklahoma -- One of Oklahoma's own everyday heroes has died.

Darwin Eaton was a faithful blood donor for 60 years, giving more than 41 gallons of blood, more than anyone in America.

Last year, the Red Cross named him a "Gift of Life Hero" and submitted Darwin for a Guinness Record, as the "World's Greatest Blood Donor."

Eaton was 88 years old.
