TULSA, Oklahoma – New drug drop-off boxes will make it easier for you to clean out your medicine cabinets the right way.
The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics is in charge of the program, which leads the nation for safe pill disposal.
OBN is installing white drop-off boxes in every county in the state. Oklahoma is the first state in the U.S. to have such a program.
The boxes are a secure way for people to get rid of unused prescription drugs and help keep them out of the wrong hands.
"They are a time bomb, a loaded weapon, kids are getting a hold of them," Darrell Weaver, OBN Director, said.
