TULSA, Oklahoma -- The owner of a taco stand is in a hospital Wednesday morning after getting shot in the stomach during a robbery in east Tulsa Tuesday night.

Tulsa Police say two people walked up to a taco stand near 31st and Mingo at around 11 p.m.

They demanded money and when the 39-year-old owner of El Taquero gave it to them, one of the suspects then pulled out a gun and shot him.

Police were able to catch up with a suspect, 20-year-old Walter Jones, about ten minutes later. He was arrested and taken to the Tulsa County jail and will likely face a charge of shooting with intent to kill.

Police also arrested a 16-year-old boy.

The shooting victim is listed in serious condition.
