Voters In Broken Arrow, Bixby Approve Bond Issues

BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma – Voters in Broken Arrow overwhelmingly approved a $44 million bond issue Tuesday.

Proposition One allows $27 million to be spent on transportation improvements including widening Aspen to five lanes. It passed with just more than 73 percent of the vote.

Proposition Two, which passed with just over 70 percent of the vote, allots $10 million for improvements at the city's police and fire stations.

Parks and Recreation will get $5.1 million worth of improvements under Proposition Three. It passed with 67.86 percent of the vote.

Proposition Four, which passed with nearly 73 percent of the vote, will spend $2.3 million for improvements to the city's storm water facilities, including drainage improvements on several streets.

Voters in Bixby approved a $10 million bond issue Tuesday. It will allow for improvements to public parks, recreation facilities, and public safety facilities, along with repairs to city streets.
