CLAREMORE, Oklahoma -- A Claremore mother charged with the deaths of two of her children stemming from a crash in September 2010 pleaded no contest and was sentenced to prison.
Destiny Burns, 27, entered her plea in Rogers County District Court this week and was ordered to serve 10 years of a 20-year sentence on each count of first-degree manslaughter.
According to court records, Burns was under the influence of an intoxicating substance when she crashed her Pontiac Grand Am on September 16, 2010 in rural Rogers County.
