TULSA, Oklahoma -- Starting on Sunday April 3, 2011, United Airlines will be offering daily nonstop service between Tulsa and Washington, D.C.
Late last year, the airline said it was expanding travel in and out of Tulsa International Airport to the nation's capitol through Washington Dulles International Airport.
United says the Washington D.C. area is the 8th most popular regional destination for Tulsa travelers.

"Non-stop service to Washington D.C. has been a longstanding request for many Tulsans, and we're glad to have United Airlines add additional flight options to the East coast," Mayor Dewey Bartlett said. "This air service not only answers the requests of Tulsans, but to the region as Tulsa will now directly be connected to the Nation's Capitol."
The new flight will depart Tulsa daily at 12:34 p.m. and return to Tulsa at 8:48 p.m.
Tulsa International Airport will hold a special ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, April 4, 2011.
