Dispute Between Residents Leads To Shooting At Tulsa Apartment Complex

TULSA, Oklahoma –Police say a dispute between two men at a Tulsa apartment complex led to a shooting Friday evening.

Tulsa Police were called to the scene at the McKinley Apartments at 600 East Latimer Place just after 6 p.m.

Sergeant Chris Witt said the victim, a younger man, knocked on the door of an older man's apartment and threatened to kill him and his family.

"At some point, the younger man pulls out his gun," Witt said. "The older gentlemen went inside his apartment, grabbed his shotgun to defend himself and as the younger man shot at the older gentlemen, the older gentlemen fired back."

The victim was taken to the hospital. His name has not been released and his condition is unknown.

Police are questioning the older man.
