MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -- Imagine an interactive exhibit of drums and musical instruments designed to help children learn more about Oklahoma's music history.
That's the dream of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in Muskogee and a fundraising event includes a big art auction at the Hall on Friday night.
Artist Jim Roaix displayed a featured piece in this week's art auction at the OK Music Hall of Fame.
"There's water color, oil, pastels with the theme of Oklahoma, music," Roaix said.
As you look at it you can see much of the state's history portrayed in more than 100 5x5 inch panels. He thinks it could be displayed in many places in Oklahoma.
"one of our legislators that has more money than they need could buy it and put it in the capitol," he said.
There will be both a silent auction and live auction on Friday night. In all, more than 33 pieces will be up for grabs.
All the proceeds will go to the children's exhibit.
Visitors will be able to experience drums keyboards and various instruments and learn more about our music history
