MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -- A 56-year-old Muskogee man charged with the 1999 murder of his wife has a preliminary hearing in the case set for May 12, 2011.

Jeff Grannon is charged with first degree murder in the death of Carol Grannon.

The Muskogee County Sheriff's Office said Grannon confessed to the murder.

Investigators discovered Carol Grannon's remains under a manhole in a Muskogee alley February 24, 2011.

Jeff Grannon's son led police to her remains after he was arrested on drug charges.

The hearing will be held in Muskogee County District Court.  Jeff Grannon remains in the Muskogee County jail without bond.
