TULSA, Oklahoma -- A report of beer being stolen from a south Tulsa convenience store led to a high-speed chase early Wednesday morning.

Tulsa Police officers got the call from the Kum-N-Go at 71st and Garnett.  As they arrived they spotted the suspect driving away at a high rate of speed.

Officers began a pursuit which headed west on 71st Street and then north on Memorial.

The suspect drove into a parking lot, striking a pole and shopping cart corral before getting out and running away.

Officers arrested him say they found beer taken from the convenience store in the car.

The car was not registered in the suspect's name and apparently had just been purchased this month.
