CATOOSA, Oklahoma -- Crews in Catoosa are battling strong winds as they tear down the old bingo hall at the Cherokee Hard Rock Casino and Hotel.

Officials say it would take a couple of weeks to tear it all down.

Officials say the roof would have been an expensive fix, so it was cost effective to build something new instead.

The rest of the casino is still open, and there are already plans for the new space.

Tribal leaders are expected to make an announcement in the coming weeks.
