TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa County Sheriff's deputy crashed his patrol car after he swerved to avoid deer in the road early Monday morning.

Tulsa Police say the deputy was eastbound on 121st Street South just before Sheridan when the deer ran onto the roadway.

The deputy missed the deer, but the car went into the ditch and rolled onto its top.

Police say the deputy was not transported to the hospital.  The patrol car on the other hand was totaled in the crash.

No word on what happened to the deer.
