JENKS, Oklahoma -- The Jenks School Board decided Wednesday night how to make up the days lost from two record-breaking snow storms.

The board approved a plan to send students to school on February 21, 2011, originally a professional day, and add 30 minutes to the end of each school day from February 21, 2011, through the end of the school year on May 25th, 2011.

The plan is similar to the decision several other Tulsa-area school districts made. Tulsa Public Schools, Union, Bixby, Owasso, Broken Arrow and Sapulpa are all adding minutes onto the school day.
