TULSA, Oklahoma – A Tulsa man was charged Tuesday in connection with the shooting death of a man killed while shoveling snow earlier this month.
Marke Hayes, 31, is charged with first degree murder and possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony for the death 53-year-old Joseph Garfield, Jr.
Police said Garfield was shoveling snow on February 5, 2011 when he got into an argument with Hayes. Investigators say the two men knew each other and lived on the same street.

Hayes is being held without bond on the first degree murder charge and a $10,000 bond for the possession of a firearm.
He remains in the Tulsa County Jail.
