TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a wrong-way driver on I-44 in Tulsa sideswiped a semi truck early Friday morning near the Peoria exit.
A semi truck tried to avoid a pickup truck which was westbound in the eastbound lanes but was unsuccessful.
Troopers say the driver of the semi was not hurt, but that wasn't the case for at least one person in the pickup truck.
EMSA took a man from the truck to a Tulsa hospital.
Troopers say that man was drunk, but they are unsure if he was the driver, because a second person in the pickup truck ran off before the OHP arrived on scene.
A search for that person continues.
