TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police said two people were arrested Tuesday evening after a high speed chase.
The chase started when the Oklahoma Highway Patrol tried to stop a vehicle on I-44 Tuesday afternoon. At one point, the pursuit reached speeds of 100 miles per hour.
Eventually, the driver was able to elude the trooper and get away.
A short time later, Tulsa Police found the vehicle near 31st Street and 129th East Avenue. Officers said the vehicle was stolen.
Officers said five people were inside the car.
The driver, identified as Sam Borders, and a passenger, identified as Catherine Jones, were arrested and taken into custody.
Borders was arrested on possession of a stolen vehicle. Jones was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Tulsa County.
