BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma -- The owner of two drug detection dogs says the animals have been located and are back home after they went missing from a Bartlesville home late Monday.

Bartlesville police officers took a report at 7:38 p.m. concerning the theft of "Freddie" and "Keesh" from a fenced yard of a home in the 1900 block of South Limestone  Road.

"Freddie" is a male golden labrador retreiver and "Keesh" is a female lab-ra-doodle.

The homeowner was housing the dogs for a private contractor.  He told police he had fed the dogs at 4 p.m. and returned at 7:30 p.m. to find the fence in his yard lying down and the two dogs gone.

The owner of the dogs says both were found late Monday night and early Tuesday; one at a nearby Bartlesville car dealership and the other running along U.S. Highway 75 about a mile away.
