Sporting Event Magazine Names Tulsa ‘Destination To Watch In 2011'

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A national sporting event magazine has named Tulsa "a destination to watch in 2011", according to the Tulsa Metro Chamber.

Readers of SportsEvents Magazine named Tulsa a top destination for 2011 because of the many venues the city offers, like the BOK Center and ONEOK Field.

"The sports market has become a major player in visitor attraction and Tulsa has a leg up on the competition," said Ray Hoyt, Visit Tulsa Sr. Vice President.

Tulsa has proven it's willing to go above and beyond in hospitality and venue offerings, the Chamber reports.

Tulsa was acknowledged for excellence within the destinations and venues category.
