The Friday Discussion

I'm running slightly behind inter-office schedule this morning and must be brief with the details.  I'll attempt to post more later today.

We have finally made improvement over major arctic air, but cold air will remain this morning with lows in the 20s.  Afternoon highs are expected to be warming into the mid or even upper 40s today. Some cloud cover will be possible at times with south winds around 10 to 15 mph.

A weak system will be approaching Saturday evening into Sunday well south of Tulsa, while a shallow air mass front will move into northern OK.  There will remain a very slight chance of light freezing drizzle Sunday morning across the northern third of the state and about a 30% of showers across the far southern sections of the viewing area.

Sunday afternoon highs in the upper 30s or lower 40s will be common across northern OK while southern sections of the state may be in the upper 40s.  This front will be stalling across the north Sunday, and will move back into Kansas Monday midday before sliding southward Monday night into Tuesday.  This means Monday afternoon highs may move into the upper 40s or even the lower 50s.  Early Monday remains a slight chance of light freezing drizzle with temperatures near freezing for a few hours.  The frontal intrusion Monday evening bring more cold air back to the region Tuesday and Wednesday with another surge of arctic type air possible Thursday.

Thanks for reading our discussions.  Have a super great weekend.  Dick will post update this weekend and Nick will have updates later today.
