Elderly Gore Woman Sentenced For Beating Husband With Wooden Stick

MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -- An elderly Gore woman has received probation after beating her husband with a wooden stick. Gussie Mae Kelley, 70, pleaded guilty to assaulting her 73-year-old husband in April of 2010.

She will serve 27 months of probation on home electronic monitoring for assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm.

Kelley's husband wounds included two lacerations that required multiple staples. He also had swelling and bruising to the head and body.
