Suspected DUI Driver Arrested Following Early Friday Morning Crash

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police arrest a man on suspicion of DUI after he drove through two yards, crashed through a fence, hit a car and a garage.

It happened early Friday morning near Independence and 71st East Avenue.

Police say a woman was dropping a friend off in the area when she noticed a pickup truck traveling south on 71st heading right for her. The woman reacted by driving into her friend's yard but the truck lost control and after crashing through the fences, hits the car.

The pickup truck continues across Independence, flipping on its side and hitting a garage.

Police say the driver of the pickup got out of the vehicle and took off on foot. He was found a short distance away and was taken into custody.

Officers say two women inside the car that was hit only suffered minor injuries.
