TULSA, Oklahoma -- Most of us have already opened up our Christmas gifts, but one Green Country mom got a very special present Tuesday.

Emily Melton received a 2002 Dodge Caravan thanks to a national program called Recycled Rides.

The program takes cars that have been written off or totaled by insurance companies, gets them road ready, then gives the vehicle to a family in need.

Melton is a single mom whose been relying on others for rides. She says this gift will change her life.

"It means everything. It makes simple tasks easier, or even just going to the grocery store or you know, picking the baby up from daycare or anything," Melton said.

Gerber Collision in Broken Arrow is behind this donation, which includes a car seat, gas card, and other goodies.
