Oklahoma Marine Returns Home For Christmas

TULSA, Oklahoma -- An Oklahoma Marine is back on Sooner soil, just in time for the holidays.

Erick Anderson's mom's face lit up when she saw her son this morning at Tulsa International Airport.

Anderson's girlfriend, Nicole, and other family and friends were also there to welcome him home for Christmas.

Anderson is training in North Carolina and deploys to Afghanistan next March. He hasn't been home since April, so this homecoming is special.

"It just feels weird to actually be able to come home now for Christmas. Being here. But I like it," Anderson said.

"We just can't wait to hug him. I mean we get to Skype him, but it's just not the same," Lisa Woods, Erick's Mom.

This homecoming is sweet, but also short. Anderson heads back for more training on Monday.
