TULSA, Oklahoma -- Chouteau High School's marching band is hearing the sweet sound of success. The small-town band is ready to perform on the big stage, cheering on OSU at the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio.

"We get a big chance to go somewhere and do something with the band and I think it's a great opportunity because bands in the past didn't get to do it," senior Samantha Daniels said.

The 26-member band will play four songs with 12 other schools, all marching together. Band Director Tony Hutchinson said this is a dream opportunity for the students.

"I'm just so excited for the kids because this could be the only opportunity for them to enjoy playing with a very large band of this magnitude," Hutchinson said.

The band will leave Monday night to be there in time for Wednesday's game. They'll drive straight through the night to save money. The community has helped raise money for the trip, but the band still needs $1,200.

If you can help, call Tony Hutchinson at (918) 607-3321 before Monday.
