NASHVILLE, Oklahoma – Oklahoma's own Garth Brooks is hitting the stage to raise money for flood victims.
The country superstar is playing nine shows over six days in Nashville. Back in May flood waters devastated central Tennessee. The special concerts are expected to bring in $5 million.
"Our goal is to sell tickets, but our goal more is to see the economic impact hopefully that this will have on this city at Christmas," Brooks said.
City leaders say the impact looks good. When you add in all the money concert-goers will spend at hotels and shops, they expect to see a $20 million boost.
