TULSA, Oklahoma -- Following a possible burglary suspect paid off for Tulsa Police early Thursday morning.
Police detectives say they were keeping tabs on 50-year-old Larry Forrester, who they suspected of burglarizing several businesses for cigarettes, when they spotted his car in a parking lot near 15th and Utica.
When officers approached, Forrester ran off, but was quickly apprehended.
In Forrester's car, officers found $2,100 worth of cigarettes in the trunk.
Tulsa Police say they watch Forrester commit the burglary at about 3 a.m. at the Gas-N-Shop at 15th and Utica and putting cigarettes from the store in his vehicle.
Forrester had just been released from the Tulsa County jail early Wednesday morning on unrelated traffic charges.
He was booked into the Tulsa County jail Thursday morning on six complaints of second degree burglary.
