WASHINGTON COUNTY, Oklahoma -- Winds fanned the flames of several Washington County grass fires Saturday.
There were at least 3 reported fires, one apparently threatened a truck stop in Copan. The largest of the fires was at least 500 acres.
An outbuilding was destroyed and Washington County authorities said numerous structures were threatened.
Authorities said Wind gusts of up to 30 mph, combined with dry air, made fire fighting efforts more difficult.
