TULSA, Oklahoma -- Some unemployed Oklahomans are getting a little more schooling while they look for new jobs.

Workforce Oklahoma received federal funds through the Workforce Investment Act to help the unemployed with educational training and career coaching.

They're using it to refer people to TCC's Outreach Center.

C.J. Wright of Workforce Oklahoma says they are seeing a lot of people return to school in a tough job market.

"Then they come to us and they say I'm going to have to go back to school because I can't find a job, you know I did this for 20 years, but now there's nothing," Wright said.

Wright says there's money available to cover tuition and books for people who enroll in a two year program.

There is an information meeting this Friday at 10am at Workforce Oklahoma inside the Eastgate Complex at 21st and 145th street.
