TULSA, Oklahoma -- Some Tulsa students are sending some holiday cheer to troops serving in Afghanistan.
Hundreds of kids at Clinton Middle School started packing up care packages Friday. They're filling boxes with all sorts of goodies, including candy, books and of course lots of special letters.
"We're helping the soldiers 'cause we know they did so much to us, that we want them, we want to show our love and tell them thank you for what we have done," said Cynthia Martinez, a seventh grade student.
The students decided to adopt the unit after they talked via Skype with a Navy Medical Unit commander on Veterans Day.
