Methodist Manor In Tulsa Breaks Ground On Expansion Project

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The golden years are getting better for some Tulsa seniors.

Oklahoma Methodist Manor is expanding. It broke ground Thursday on the Crestwood neighborhood near 31st and Yale.

When it's finished, the center will have more than 100 new apartments plus a wellness center, restaurants and a theatre. To mark the occasion, current residents are making contributions to a special time capsule.

"They're sharing their hopes and dreams for the future and it'll be opened at a date yet to be determined," said Executive Director Steve Dickie.

The apartments should be ready for move-in sometime in 2012.
