TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa's recycling centers want to help residents dispose of their cooking oils and grease.
MET recycling depots are collecting turkey fryer oil and anything else residents may have left over from cooking Thanksgiving dinner.
"And you know I don't want to put anything down on the ground or put anything down the drain because of environmental reasons, so this seemed like a good opportunity and they can recycle this," said Larry Savill, who dropped off oil at a Tulsa MET recycling center.
All residents need to do is put the grease in a durable container like a coffee can, seal it with lid and drop it off

Pouring grease down the drain can build up and cause blockages in a home's plumbing and in the city sewer system. It could even cause raw sewage to overflow out of the system and back into homes.
