SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- Students at the Sand Springs Early Childhood Center shared a Thanksgiving feast Tuesday.

Everyone came dressed for the occasion, decked out in their finest Indian feathers and perfectly-colored pilgrim hats.

Their principal says the event is more than just sharing a meal together, it's a chance to teach life lessons.

"They are learning about sharing and cooperating and doing things to help others and help themselves at the same time," said Principal Rita Montgomery.

The kids gobbled up cornbread, vegetable stew, popcorn, and of course, a little turkey.
