Sallisaw Police Issue Silver Alert For Missing Elderly Resident

SALLISAW, Oklahoma -- The Sallisaw Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for 83-year-old assisted living resident who left the facility Thursday evening.

Police say Pauline Shrum was last seen at 6 p.m. They say Shrum may be with a 67-year-old New Mexico man, Morgan Long.

Police say Long owns a blue 1995 Ford Ranger pickup truck, license plate number 940PYC.

He is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, 375 pounds and walks with crutches and is on oxygen.

The assisted living center says Shrum does not have her medication for a heart condition and alzheimers.

Sallisaw Police detectives are checking out a reported sighting of Shrum and Long in Vian.

Shrum may be wearing a pink shirt with a pink dress.

The assisted living center says Long did not notify them when he left with Shrum Thursday evening.
