A strong cold front is moving east of Tulsa bringing much colder weather tonight for all of Green Country and that includes all high school football games for the boys of fall! Much needed rain has been falling so that is the up side. Amounts of 1/2" to 1" are common and lighter amounts will be expected tonight until the colder/dryer air takes over and shuts down precipitation. If you are headed out tonight temperatures will be dropping into the 40s across the entire area and winds will be gusty for a while, in the range of 20-25 mph making for a rough night to be outside. Frost advisories are in effect for areas west of Tulsa where skies will clear later tonight. Cool to chilly weather will be likely across the area for the weekend so time to change your wardrobe for the weekend and find those heavier jackets and coats! Next week looks overall cool but nice. Don't forget that we will be turning the Christmas lights on in Jenks next Thursday and Friday. The season are changing!
