Good Morning!  Thanks for reading my little blog of weather and other assorted items.  First up:  a warm front.

Yesterday a weak front moved into western areas of Northern OK.  The temps dropped about 15 degrees behind this boundary and by 6pm Tulsa reported 68 degrees while locations in western Osage county were experiencing temps in the lower 50s!  This boundary, currently located across the I-40 corridor, will soon begin moving northward as a warm front due to the next major upper level trough drawing closer to the area.  This trough currently located over the four corners area will cause the pressure to fall to our west.  This will allow the front to move northwestward soon due to the pressure falling across the Lee of the Rockies.  A few showers or storms will continue this morning along and north of the boundary for the next few hours but I think most of these will be across extreme northern OK and southern Kansas.  Afternoon highs will be in the upper 60s or lower 70s today with mostly cloudy conditions.

Our main story revolves on the Friday time period and our big storm system.  Almost every model run over the past two days continues to slow the frontal progression.  Consequently, we have made some changes to the timing of the system which also resulted in the tweaking of the temperature forecast.  It now appears the front will not approach the Tulsa area until 6pm to 8pm.  This means our highs will be able to reach the upper 60s or even lower 70s across southern OK before the rain appears and the temps start to drop.  Friday Night Football may see rain and falling temperatures during the game.

The weekend also appears quite cold with morning lows in the 30s and highs in the 50s.  A southern stream system will be approaching southern Ok and North Texas Sunday afternoon and I think some of this may approach our area by Sunday afternoon.  We've kept a slight chance of showers for this period.  The air mass will become even colder Monday and Tuesday with afternoon highs Monday in the upper 40s or lower 50s.

Now to something completely different.  I think the my diet ( or lack of a good one) combined with this horrible sleep schedule has started to take it's toll. I'll resist the urge to rant about my sleep schedule and save it for another day.  Anyway, I noticed my shirt shrunk a few days ago and the stupid tie I was wearing got really tight quickly.  This may shock those who know me, but I may have to start exercising on a daily basis.  I've found every excuse in the world to not exercise, but I suppose I should get with the program.  Maybe I'll start soon.  Maybe tomorrow.  Or the next day.  Details to follow on this blog.
