TULSA, Oklahoma – As winter approaches, it's not too early to start thinking about heavy winter coats.
It's important to make sure the youngest Oklahomans stay warm.
That's why the News on 6 is sponsoring Trav's Coats for Kids. And for the first time Wal-Mart is getting involved.
Several stores around the state will be donating coats of all sizes to the program. They delivered their first load to Catholic Charities Wednesday, which will make sure the coats get to someone in need.
Catholic Charities will start distributing the coats next Tuesday, November 16th, 2010, at their facility at 2450 North Harvard. Call 918-949-HOPE for the days and hours they're open.
An ID is required for every person who plans on getting a coat.
If you want to donate a coat, take it to any Yale Cleaners now through December 31st. They'll clean it, and then give it to Catholic Charities.
